About Us

The LA Alliance for Human Rights is a grassroots organization founded in 2019 by a group of concerned residents and business owners in Los Angeles. Our mission is to end homelessness in our city through bold advocacy, government accountability, and community action. We are committed to holding City and County leaders accountable for their failures in addressing the homelessness crisis and ensuring that every Angeleno has access to shelter, treatment, and the services they need to thrive.

Our Approach: Bold Advocacy and Legal Action

We believe that true change comes from holding those in power accountable. As the only force pushing for systemic change, we actively expose government shortcomings and demand real solutions to homelessness. Our landmark lawsuit in 2020 was a game-changer, compelling local authorities to act and fulfill their legal obligations to provide shelter and treatment for those experiencing homelessness.

We continue to fight in court and in the public eye, using aggressive PR and digital campaigns to push for action on homelessness, public safety, and the quality of life for all Angelenos. Through strategic advocacy, we ensure that the voices of the community are heard, and that local officials meet concrete benchmarks for solving homelessness.

What Drives Us

Our work is fueled by a passion to restore Los Angeles to a place of safety, dignity, and opportunity. We are driven by the belief that everyone deserves a chance at a better life, and that it is the responsibility of government leaders to make that possible.

The LA Alliance for Human Rights isn’t just a group of advocates; we are a coalition of concerned citizens, business owners, and community leaders who want to see real, sustainable change. We’re building a movement to hold City and County officials accountable and demand that they take immediate action to address the homelessness crisis.

Our Vision for the Future

We envision a future where homelessness is eradicated from the streets of Los Angeles, where public spaces are clean, safe, and accessible to everyone, and where mental health and addiction recovery services are available to those in need. We are working toward lasting policy reforms that will create a more efficient, transparent, and compassionate government—one that truly serves the people of Los Angeles.

Our vision also includes empowering the community to demand accountability and to drive meaningful change. We are actively exploring a 2026 ballot initiative focused on public safety and homelessness to ensure that solutions continue to evolve and address the root causes of the crisis.
